AI Manga Translator

Drop in a chapter, read it in your language — the art untouched.

overview

AI Manga Translator turns a raw chapter into the same comic in your language. It reads the whole page for context — not bubble-by-bubble — so character voices stay consistent, fits the translated lines back into each speech bubble, and inpaints the original text away so the art underneath stays intact. Works on Japanese manga, Korean manhwa, and Chinese manhua across 20+ languages — in the browser, or as a Chrome extension that translates right on MangaDex, Pixiv, and 30+ other sites.

what it does

  • Context-aware: reads the full page, keeps character voices consistent
  • Inpaints the art back and refits every speech bubble — no white boxes
  • Manga, manhwa webtoons, and manhua — 20+ languages
  • In the browser or as a Chrome extension on MangaDex, Pixiv & 30+ sites

why i built it

Machine-translating manga usually means flat text stamped over the artwork, panels read out of order, and Google Lens giving up on vertical Japanese. I wanted to read chapters with no official release without waiting weeks on a scanlation group — and without wrecking the art to do it. So the effort goes into the parts nobody notices when they're done right: reading the page in the correct order, fitting text back inside the bubbles, and rebuilding the background instead of stamping a white box over it.
